helping a friend

okay so me and my friends all drink and smoke cigs and weed. Its college and it was all good.
One friend of mine quit smoking weed first about a year ago and I thought that was admirable.
The past few months I had been going through a hard time so I quit smoking weed and cigs and cut down drinking by a lot.
but my other friends two in peticular drink more, smoke weed several times a day, and chain smoke more then ever and now they are starting to do painkillers. I want to tell my friends to chill but I know they think I kinda pussied out by stopping all that and we are a bunch of hard headed people who dont like to listen when it is most needed. i dont know what to do. I am worried for them its not a big problem now but i can see it as getting bad real soon. one friend gets defensive with me cuz my grade have improved while hers are and she thinks its cuz "Im trying to be smart" I dont see the problem but apparently it is. Also cuz I cut down on the stuff I lost weight so for some reason I am being attacked for being a lately. I think this stuff all effected us but we are starting to grow away and my friends are using it as an excuse to say I changed and Im bad. I want to help them but I really dont know how to approach it because they will get offended.

We know a lot of people throughout our lives and most of them we leave behind as situations change.....these people are very worthy of leaving behind.
