Do you mean can you tell if he is buzzed out of his mind, do you mean how his clothes smell when he comes home, do you mean maybe taking a whiff inside his car, do you mean maybe checking his pockets. Or maybe his appetite has increased. I dont know, gee, I have never done weed.

The smell is the big giveaway. And his behavior - if he is giggly happy.

The glazed eyes too. They'll either be blood shot or glassy. Ask him to look you in the eyes and swear to you that he isnt smoking it. if he cant look you in the eyes then those rumors could and might be true. If he does, look for signs of lying. You'll be able to know if you've been dating him for long enough. example dilated pupils, stammering.

Relationships take maintenance. Which include, but are not limited to effort, trust, honesty, openness, mutual respect, love, etc.

I would straight up and tell him what the friends are saying about him doing weed. Maybe he doesn't know that they are saying these things about him? Maybe you haven't been up-front enough with him? Your post only indicates that "He tells me he doesn't do it."

If he doesn't do weed, I don't know why the friends would be saying that he does. What other reason could possibly be for saying those things?

I see no reason for a "cloak and dagger" approach to this if there is truly a relationship built on the things mentioned above. If he values your relationship, then he would be honest with you.

tickle agrees: you went a little deeper into the relationship thing, which is excellent.

United Chick im sorry to tell you but if his friends tell you he does and a number of them have come to you, then the rumours probably and most definately are true. Why, how do i know so? Same situation. Repeatedly family, friends even my friends parents said they have seen and seen again my bf doing weed when out. I asked him if it was true and he said no. thing is guys who smoke it also lie. People who tell lies get caught out. Tonight when my bf was high, he phoned me and the signs were unmissable. All this time, whilst i knew deep down that what my friends were saying was true, i didnt want to believe it. this time round, theres no escaping it. whats done is done. thing is sweetie, if his being doing it for a long time, he probably wont stop no matter what he feels for you because its an addiction. You have to question for yourself now, wether you want to be associated with someone who smokes pot. Someone who disrespects you, ur wishes and what you believe.
