    Unadjusted trial balance
    Does Cost of merchandise sold go on the debit or credit side? Accumulated Depreciation debit or credit?

    Cost of merch. Sold is an expense and therefore is a debit and accumulated depreciation reduces the cost basis of an asset an therefore is a credit.
