Are There Any Free and Effective Accounting Softwares Out There on the Internet?

Hi, All!

The question is my title. I just have a number of small businesses that I run. I also have a checkbook.

Are there any programs out there that are free to download and use that will do a good job with keeping track of basic banking/financial accounting needs?

I have a Quickbooks '97 in one of my computers, but the program crashed on me!

Thanks!

Over the last 25 years I have been using
SPREADSHEETS to do accounting work.
I have developed an Integrated Accounting
System. EXCEL is more than adequate.
It starts from the Original Entries and takes
you all down to a Profit & Loss Account
and a Balance Sheet.

Hello Clough, you know this is a good resource. It is a fully integrated spreadsheet/bookkeeping program. You want to look into it.

Hi, Adrian2!

But, isn't that a program that a person has to purchase?

Thanks!

Yes - but I think its really inexpensive around $25.00 - but it is preformulated. Remember Clough I have found that you get what you pay for!

All the best!
