Is a teacher with H1B visa needs to pay social security?

I'm a techer in a jewish day school . I have an H1B visa and never diduct FICA.
what is the law about non profit organization or riligus school regard FICA ?
The school doesn't know the law and for the last 40 years never payed FICA for the non resident techer?
