Recording coupons in the general journal
How would you record the journal entry for a coupon, or rebate? Say that $20 coupons were given out for every $100 spent and expired in a month. Would you create an allowance account for this?

I guess it would depend on how good the coupons. Are they online coupons? Are they for something you buy standard every month?
