How to record stolen asset

Hi,

Could you please let me know how I need to record stolen Laptop in my company?

My understanding is that I have to write it off from the asset register by crediting the asset and debiting Accumulated Depr for that asset and debit the difference as loss on disposal of asset. Am I correct?
