Which account is creditted when recording depreciation of a fixed asset?

CaptainForest Finance & Accounting Expert Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Canada Posts: 3,672	Debit Depreciation Expense Credit Accumulated Depreciation Or…..you can use the word Amortization instead of Depreciation.
