Where are cash dividends stated on a balance sheet?

CaptainForest Finance & Accounting Expert Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Canada Posts: 3,672	Cash Dividends are NOT put on the balance sheet. They do lower cash and retained earnings so they are indirectly reflected on the balance sheet in that way. Comments on this post lilli02 agrees: Perfect answer. Very clear and concise.
