If I carry a mortgage of $80,000 on the asset side of my balance sheet, where does this appear on the Liabilities side of the balance sheet.

I found information on the following sites and thought that it might be helpful to you. I hope that it is. If not, then at least I tried. It would be good if we did have an accounting expert on this site. I wish that we had someone like that here. But unfortunately, to my knowledge, we don't because so many of the accounting questions go unanswered. Perhaps we will have someone with that knowledge and expertise here in the future.
