Amortization

can I use amortization for a security system just put in for a small business..how do i do it?

What do you mean by "use amortization" for it? Are you speaking of Taxes? If so, then I can move this to the Taxes board for you. Depending on what it cost you and whether you own the premises or not, you might be able to just write it off all at once.
