Thesis Statement - Analysis

Hello,

I am writing a reflective paper for a sociology university course that I am taking. The question is "how and what have you learned about gender in your life experiences so far?"

I have developed the following thesis statement:

"I have learned through the institution of family, that gender differences and inequality are essential to creating an economically stable farming community."

I would really appreciate your opinion on where this is an acceptable thesis statement. Do you feel that it is arguable, specific?

Thank you in advance!
