Autism? What are your symptoms?

Didn't you learn how to write a thesis statement in high school (or earlier?). I'm surprised you are asking such a basic question. What is the description for the English 101 class, like, what kind of papers?

I do have to agree, if you are having a problem with just this basic issue, what is going to happen when it actually gets hard.

But that is why professors have office hires to see students, why there are normally student assistants in basic classes to help ( depending on size of school) and of course why most colleges offer tutors though each department to help you.

Some people have a tough time with writing papers since it involves a lot of creativity and complex thinking to really get your point across well. A lot of the way you approach your paper will depend on the type of paper it is, is it a research paper, an analysis of a poem, short story or book? Have you been given a specific topic? These things all dictate how best to tackle the writing process.

This is a pretty good link that gives you some basic info about how to start the writing process:

Writing a Research Paper

Also, check out the resources you can use at your college. A lot of colleges have writing labs where other students volunteer at to assist students having difficulties; they can be really helpful. Talk to your professor as well, he or she might have some resources for you on the web, or specific books to use. No matter what, hang in there and take your time. Yes, things will get harder as you move up in your college life, but if you take it slow and are determined to do it, as well as take advantage of the resources available to you, you can do it.
