Just stopping in to add in my two cents worth. This thread looked interesting. I live in Illinois on the border between Iowa and Illinois. Believe-it-or-not, we have winery's and vineyards around here! You would not expect it, but we do. They are not plentiful, but we do have them.

My daughter lives in the Napa Valley of California. She is the manager at a historic cinema theater in St. Helena, CA. When she comes back here to visit, she brings lots of wine that has been given to her by the owner of the cinema.
