It apparently has stopped now, or you would not have had time to get to this forum. The reason could be that when you install a program that, it is busy looking for all the applications you have installed and what all the associated files belong to. The program you downloaded did not have all this new info,and needed to download winXP updates so that it recognized them. You should now use an antispyware program and run it to make sure that nothing else came through the 'back door'. I should be back by tomorrow evening, have to get a check up at the doctor's, then will be back online. Keep me posted. P.S. You will also have to restart your computer.
