Every person, and every man is different, things like medication, illnesses, surgary, And as relationships change, and emotional issues can cuase a person to have better or worst performance.

But it is not unheard of for many of the much older couples to still be active sexually.

And of course with many of today's medication and other methods, the abiility lasts longer

Like Fr_Chuck says Every person and every situation is different. Men do start to lose the ability to get the strong erections that they had at a younger age. Some form an illness, some from medication to treat certain illnesses, some just from the fact that nature is being mean to them. But there are things that can be done, like Viagra, and every day new things are being found.. Plus a man can have a very good orgasm without having an erection and he can also give pleasure to the female without having an erection.
As you get older you will find out that every thing will work out. Good luck.

I am 74 and my penis stays flacid (limp) almost all the time, but sometimes I can work up a rather weak errection, but it doesn't last long, maybe less than a minute. Other than that, I feel fine, no medical problems that I know about. I'm just at the point in life where other things in life are more important to me now. I have been married for 51 years now, and just a warm embrace and nice kiss makes me remember "the good old days!"
