    Code reset on Craftsman garage door opener
    I will be moving into a home that was a foreclosure and there are no remote openers that came with the house, but a WIRED keypad is mounted on the outside. Can anyone give me the instuctions to reset the keypad code so the previous owner cannot open the garage door?

    There is a direct relationship between the wiring "plug board" and the keypad code.
    Remove the back of the unit which is located in the garage and try to decode the present setting. Then program your own code, accordingly.
    You might also stop by your local Sears store and see if they could copy an instruction sheet for you.

    Push the "Learn" button (generally square, red button) on the motor hanging from the ceiling of the garage roof. Once you push this button, you have about six seconds to scramble to the keypad and enter your four digit code, ending by pushing "enter." Done deal!
