His behavior seems to be indicating that you're just a friend to him. He stood you up for 'oversleeping' and that just shows he's not taking you seriously. Its just a joke to him. If he is interested in you he needs to step up his game.
I can also advice you that dating someone from work isn't such a great idea. He probably tells all the girls at the office the same things he tells you.
