Sudden nausea, sweating, hot flashes, and clammy during bowel movements. 2 times a year
I have sudden nausea, sweating, hot flashes, and very clammy during bowel movements. This only happens 2-3 times a year! I do not have diabetes, I drink PLENTY of fluids throughout the day, and I was not hungry at the time. I have been to the hospital twice or it, but the have no idea!

These are my same syptoms! Sweat described piece by piece what happens to me!

*It come ONLY 2-3 times a year.

    *Only during bowel movement

    *VERY clamy

    *VERY sweaty

    *light headed

    *Pale

    *hot flashes

    *never last over 20 minutes

*starts right before bowel movement and ends 15-30 minutes after

*body immediately returns to normal after bowel movement

I just had it happen to me again today. I had to take all my clothes off and run cold water on a rag to put on my head... while sitting on the toilet! I almost felt as if I needed to throw up at one point, but never did. After several minutes it went away completely!

If you can, PLEASE HELP! I don't have insurance right now and want to know what I am looking for without a million test!

    Thanks!

It just happens to us all every once in a while. Nothing really to worry about as long as it isn't a continuous occurrence.

I've had the same thing happen to me for as far back as I can remember, or at least back to elementary school. And had it happen to me again today. Same symptoms as you described, but after everything is over with I freeze for a while afterwards and am really weak. This use to happen to me multiple times a week if not daily. Then several years ago my doctor discovered that I have a large hiatal hernia and am on heartburn meds for it. Ever since I started the pills the frequency of the episodes has decreased down to being just a couple times of year and are usually whenever I've forgotten to take my pills the day before or for a couple days. Example: I had an episode today and forgot to take my heartburn pills yesterday. My GI doctor didn't have an answer for it when I asked them. I think it's associated with the amount of acid that passes through with our bowel movements and when that acid hits the nerves in the rectum/anus it causes all of those symptoms, cause once the bowel movement is done everything else starts to get better but it doesn't start getting better until you've completely finished with the bowel movement. It completely and totally sucks when it does happen... like you said I have to take all of my clothes off and fan myself to try and cool down while the sweat runs off me. Sometimes I get queasy and sometimes I don't. One time I actually had it make me sick to my stomach but that was only once... there have been several times when I would want to throw up just to make myself feel better. When I was a kid, when it hit I would yell at my mom from the bathroom to turn the a/c on to help me cool down and it would be the middle of winter and 20 degrees outside. I hate that I can't give you an answer as to why it happens or how to keep it from happening but I personally think acid reflux plays a part in it. If you ever do get a definitive answer please let me know.
