What breed(s)/size are they? Are they both neutered/spayed? Are you certain it is both animals?

Do they do this whether you are home or out? How long is it between potty breaks? Do they have access to water all the time? Do they seem to be drinking a lot more than than before the peeing began?

You may want to start by making certain they are both healthy and that neither one is having continence problems, urinary tract infections or other health issues they, in their doggie way, are trying to make you aware of.

Next, did anything change in their environment about the time you noticed this behavior? People moving in or out, new schedule, new baby, etc.

Make certain that you are cleaning the places they pee with a cleaner that is designed to eliminate the odor. Get the entire area as clean as you can. Do not scold them or make any fuss. They don't understand what you would be fussing at them about. It is essentially telling them to hide it instead of let you know when they have to go.

If you catch them in the act, get them outside as quickly as you can once again with as little emotion as possible. When they use the bathroom outside, praise them. Just like with potty training a young pup.

Make certain they are getting out to use the bathroom as often as they need and give lots of praise when they use the bathroom outside.

More than likely, they are attempting to tell you that something is wrong or bothering them. With patience and perseverance, you should be able to determine what the problem is and hopefully easily correct it.

    Good luck.
