    Viruses from porn sites??
It seems to me that when I frequent porn sites, MY COMPUTER BECOMES INFECTED!

But when I don't, my computer works just fine! Three times I have had to have my hard drive professionally repaired... I think they had to uninstall then re-install my windows or operating system or something like that.

My question is, what can I do to protect my computer while visiting porn sites? I download the anti-virus called Avira... and Avast but those don't seem to help!

Simple answer change your porn habits.
MOST rely on drive by infection to ensure members stay connected.

I agree with your first sentence. But I don't understand the second. What do you mean by "most rely on drive by infection to ensure members stay connected"

So there's no way to visit those sites without being infected? No anti-virus program you know of protect against those sites?

Why visit those sites when you know you are going to get "infected" unless you have a sex addiction?

Then DON'T! Buy/rent movies if you must.

Sadly many sites, esp where other members can post photos, downloads or live chats, are easy prey for virus,

But it is not porn sites, I got a serious one off a martial arts web site about a month ago.

My anti virus software catches several a month from many sites

But yes porn sites are well known for many to have viruses.

There's a real simple way to protect yourself. Run a virtual machine program like VMWare Workstation. Inside of VMWare workstation you can run a virtual machine. Basically, a version of Windows inside of Windows. The good thing is that your host OS is protected while you're using your virtual machine version of Windows. It's completely contained. Even better, you can take snapshots of the system in a known good state. If it starts showing symptoms of malware, you can revert back to the snapshot and put the system back into a pristine state.

If you're not a techie, this really isn't that hard.

    1) Get a copy of VMWare Workstation
    2) Get a virtual machine version of Windows (You can Google for this)
    3) Create a snapshot before surfing for porn.
    4) Save your favorite porn to an external drive, preferably encrypted.
    5) If you get infected, revert back to snapshot in VMWare.
    6) Don't ever plug the external drive with your porn to your host system just in case it's infected.

    Easy...

Well you say you go to porn sites and get infected on a regular basis. well sorry but if you are willing to surf porn then that's the risk.how ever not to be judgmental I will give you two solutions.use sandboxie when surfing porn.if you get hit delete the sandbox and no infection.this is almost fool proof on windows platform.the second option is linux.set up a dual boot system and view your porn on the linux side.windows malware will not run on linux.

Hey, I found this one particular porn site, I scanned it with McAfee and this was the response: "We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems."

So could this mean that the site is completely safe or could there still be hiding trojans/viruses?
