    Craigslist phone verification
I was asked to give my phone number to Craigslist. I gave my cell number. They said I
Was to get a code number and when I entered it, I can post on Craigslist again.
I got the code. A two digit number. I put it in. It was not valid. How do I reach a
    Human being re this?

    >Title Edited as it mentioned Facebook<

Is this something new? It sounds like a scam.

If you are posting on craigs list in some areas you do have to do a phone verification.
*** it has nothing to do with Facebook. Facebook does not ask for this

The code is not two numbers, so you merely go back to your craigslist account and try to redo your listing, it will merely ask you to reverify. Have it texted to you, it is easier to read

Can get code no on Craigslist
OPPS: Can't get code number on Craigslist: I was told, to post on Craigslist, I need to authenticate my account. I've
Had one for at least two years. Anyway, they wanted my phone no and I
Gave it (cell) and they gave me a two number code which I was supposed
To put in on the site. I did. Now they said it's not valid. I wrote to
"contact us"... twice and explained what happened and they keep
Sending me a pre-printed paper that does not answer my situation.
Who can I write to , to get my privileges back?

Please don't start a new thread, you have this one going.

    1. who told you to post on Craigslist, no one tells you to, it is a choice if you want to sell something, buy something or hire someone.

2.Next you sign up for the authenticicate from the Craigslist web site, no where else,

    3. you merely sign in to your account to ask to do it over.

***** If you gave your info to anyone else other than actually from the real craigslist, someone most likely stole your account.

But if you have trouble, just start a new craigslist account, I had trouble forgot my sign on a few months ago, and had to merely start a new one.

Does anyone know if there are any websites similar to CraigsList? I am looking for local classifieds to find for "free" stuff and or purchase and sell items. I really like Craigslist, but often find the item I want gone. ... I know I got to be more quick. Sigh...
