    Name misspelled on marriage certificate
    I was married in Maryland in 2003. My first name is misspelled on the certificate. Is the marriage valid and legal?

    Yes, you were to check it over before you signed it. If you wish to have it corrected you need to go to the county courthouse with a copy of your birth certificate and drivers license and have it corrected.
