When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on to flush out the supplies and to see if the problem wasn't farther back down the line? Regards, Tom

I did not turn the water back on, I thought that if I did it would spray all over. I will try that. Will the water just go into the tub?

Are there more gaskets/O-rings inside the stem? I did feel around in there and I wasn't sure if I should be messing around with that. Also, it was very difficult to put the valve stem back in, like it didn't seat right. Does that mean anything to you?

I REALLY appreciate your help. I am not happy with taking a bath in the morning, besides I'm sure I'm using much more water.

Wait a minute, Are we talking a shower valve that doesn't work or a tub valve that diverts to a shower? Are you saying the tub works but when you divert to the shower you get no water? I'm getting the impression that you have a two or three handle tub valve. Please explain how you divert water to the shower, From a knob in the valve or pull up knob on the spout? Regards, Tom

I have a three handle tub. I bought a new faucet (peaguses) last year to update my bathroom. It already had a three handle so I stayed with the same configuration.
I use the center valve to divert the water from tub to shower. I turns from left to right, or up down, depending on where I put the handle. I have it going right to left. When I divert to go to shower I just get a trickle of water from the shower head. The water pressure for the tub is good. This issue just happened this past weekend. Saturday morning all was well. Sunday morning no more shower. I do have children so I cannot be sure what exactly happened, however no one is 'fessing' up to this.

OK... I have a bathtub spout with a diverter on top. I pull up the diverter and water is diverted to the showerhead. But, when the diverter is down, some water still comes from the showerhead continuosly. I unscrewed the spout to check it. While the spout was removed, I turned on the water and some...

Water not flowing through shower head [ 2 Answers ]

I have moved into a new flat and my shower is not working. There is a cylinder-shaped part between the two taps that I can move up and down (presumably moving it in one direction is supposed to activate the shower) but the water continues to pour out of the bath taps. What do I need to do to get...

Water leaking out of shower head. [ 6 Answers ]

When I pull the diverter valve up the shower works fine, then I push it down I get a continuous stream of water out of the shower head. If I don't turn the shower on it takes about 2 minutes. For the water to get to the shower head while I am filling up the bath. Could this be a bad diverter valve?

Hi everyone! I'm at a loss with this one. I have hot water coming out of the bathtub tap when the Moen valve is set to the hot position. However, when I try to use the shower, the hot water coming out of the shower is almost the same temperature as on the full cold setting on the Moen valve. I...
