    Panic attacks and light headed.
Hi I'm just wondering and hoping that someone might know what's wrong,as a child I always suffered with light headiness(dizzy spells) and that brought on panic attacks, lord rest my granny she suffered the same and always said if I take my mind off it it would ease it and I would stop thinking about it.I went for tests years ago getting eeg scans I think their called and the diagnosis was that its all in my imagination.im 32 now and I still get it even when I'm not thinking about it.the feeling I get now is like,I'm sitting down and everything feels like its moving like I'm on a boat that's going up and down through the waves even though I'm sitting still, for instance I was holding my son the other day and all of a sudden my head felt like I was after driving very fast over a hill that drops quick, like a big bump on the road.thankfully my partner was there to take the bay off me.as a result of these episodes get very panaky and my heart races and I hold my head cause it feals heavy(strange I know).it seems to be getting worse lately.I find I'm twitching my head and rubbing it when I'm talking to people through nerves.im light headed contantly even now.does anyone know what causing it as it ruining my life, just a few more things I've been to the doc he doesn't know and wants me to get more tests and I don't need glasses, thanks in advance for your help.

You can try vitamin B complex AND sublingual B 12

    Kava kava
    Chamomile or passionflower tea
    St john's wort
Are all suppose to help too

You can also try taking baths with lavender, jasmine, Ylang ylang, sandalwood and other relaxing scents.

It might be that the panic attacks bring on the light-headedness, and not the other way around.
I've had similar feelings, but usually when I'm unwell or have a sugar low. You could try getting a blood test to check for any dietary deficiencies.
How much coffee do you drink?

I agree with the answers that have been given already.

I would also like to know if you are getting enough sleep? The amount of sleep that a person can need throughout life can vary depending on the age you are at. I just had an episode that lasted throughout the day yesterday, where I felt anxiety, fear, and thinking that I was dying. I felt light-headed; felt like I needed support when I would stand up and walk. I even asked a friend if I could stay at her house overnight because I felt so bad, and didn't want to be alone.

I had gotten very little sleep the night before this happened. I know all about what it is to have a panic attack, also.

Thank you for replying, its definitely the panic attacks after the light headiness,I've had blood tests done twice before and they were normal and my blood preasure was a little high once or twice when visiting the doc.in relation to coffee I drink about 6 or 7 cups a day could it be that I don't know.

I get about 8 hours sleep no more or less than most people.to be honest I do feel tired all the time as well.could be that, but as a kid I got plenty of sleep and it still happened but not as bad as now though,so it could have something to do with that.

When that feeling happens.. don't panic. So far nothing bad has happened so focus on that.
Sit down or lay back and take deep breaths.I take L-Theanine for my anxiety and panic attacks and It has worked for me so far.I also used to feel sick in the morning (I think it was the anxiety) and I haven't since taking it.

Anxiety/panic disorder is defiantly not an easy thing to deal with so just stay strong and take supplements (including multivitamin/b-complex) and hopefully things will improve.

Very basic techniques like controlled breathing can help a lot. Focus on exhaling when you start to feel unsettled. It might help.
Cutting down on caffeine would probably make things easier 6 or 7 cups a day is quite a lot. Caffeine is a stimulant and will hype you up.
